Your "Bad Beat" for Tuesday is on:

Cavaliers (minus 2 1/2, first half) vs. Boston.

This is really not that bad of a beat because it is quite typical in the NBA but on this night where nothing much was going on it is going to take top billing.

LeBron James and the Cavs jumped out to the 17-4 lead against the Celtics and were cruising. Anybody laying 2 1/2 in the first half certainly did not mind the great start. But if you know anything about this league than you certainly were far from comfortable and that proved to be the case as Paul Pierce and Boston just plugged away and not only covered the first half but actually led at the break 51-45.

Your winners for Wednesday are on:

3* 76ers (plus 9) at Orlando.

2* Phillies (plus 155) at New York.

A second straight winning day as the 2* Clippers cashed the ticket as the road team in Staples!

Sure I'll take the 76ers today in the Magic Kingdom plus the points. Does anybody not remember game one of the playoffs last season? Andre Iguodala and the 6ers are a pretty good team and to get around double digits is way too much!

Stan Van Gundy's Magic are expected to win close to 60 games this season after going to the NBA Finals last season and they are possibly good enough to do that but I don't see them flying all too high right now. Dwight Howard is unreal and an MVP candidate but Rashard Lewis is out suspended and it is going to take Orlando some time to adjust to Vince Carter and to the loss of Hedo Turkoglu. Turkoglu really became the go to guy at the end of games and I think people are really underestimating his loss and the affect it will have.

The Magic cruised to an undefeated preseason looking very good in the process but I'm not all that sure what that necessarily means.

The 76ers have some players and with Elton Brand back may be a little bit of a surprise team this season. I'll ride them here today and expect a tight game, why not!?!?!?

Cliff Lee and the defending Champions plus a solid takeback is a must play, period, end of story.

Of course CC Sabathia is great and the Yankees all in all are probably the best team in baseball with Arod and Teixeira and Jeter and Matsui and on and on but the Phillies are pretty freakin powerful as well.

These teams hooked up in interleague action and it was Philadelphia who took two of the three games at the Stadium. Only Brad Lidge prevented a three game NL sweep as he blew dog doody that weekend. Guys like Howard and Utley and Werth and a others will once again not mind bashing the ball around this wind tunnel of a hitter's friendly Stadium. That short short right field porch will suit the lefties like Howard and Utley just fine and in the end with a red hot Lee on the hill, who has a Cy Young in his past mind you, I'm fine taking a stab on the visitors in game one.
