I feel like I say it every week but a win is a win. The 24-21 win over West Virginia won't do them any favors in the polls but it won't hurt them either.

If the top four BCS teams (Florida, Texas, Bama, TCU) all win (which they should), UC will probably stay right where they are in the poll at No. 5. I won't get into how there is no way TCU should be ahead of them but I digress.

Zach Collaros started the game but struggled at times. In the first offensive drive for the Cats they drove right down to the 10 yard line before Pike was brought in for the first time in a month. On his first pass Pike hit Armon Binns in the back of the endzone for a touchdown. Pike finished 2-for-4 for 16 yards and two touchdowns.

UC turned the ball over twice and went down 14-7 midway through the first half and tied the game with five minutes to go in the half. Isaiah Pead led the offense with 175 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He also caught two balls for 13 yards.

I feel like UC's defense has officially been exposed. It will set up for a very interesting next two games against Illinois (who is now good) and Pittsburgh will be a huge game with the winner being the Big East champion.

The defense has struggled but the offense hasn't skipped a beat. Two turnovers last night was very uncharacteristic but they still won and the game really wasn't as close as the final score indicated.

UC takes a week off before meeting up with Illinois Saturday, November 28 at Nippert Stadium.
